I am a dependent of a physician on J1. I wish to change my J2 status to a F1 status in order to continue schooling here in the United States. I was wondering if the two year home country requirement of the J1 holds true for the dependents too. Secondly, i will be turning 21 next month and was wondering if i could apply for a waiver of the two year home country requirement.
